Comic Boom was a lot of fun! I sold (and signed…?) some comics, reaffirmed my belief that Steve Bissette is the nicest person alive and the best person to sit next to at one of these things, and met some cool, inspiring folks. I also learned that I need to make cooler covers.  I banged out a new 12 page mini at the absolute last minute…it’s a comic I’ve had in the back of my mind for a while, combining two of my favorite things: hiking and horror. It’s about a serial killer on the Appalachian Trail, and each issue will follow the characters into a different state on the trail, incorporating lots of real-life stuff from the trail into the story. It’s going to be a little side project for when I need a break from Crust Dog stuff (#3 is coming along!). Anyway, if anyone wants one of these things, they’re a buck. anthonywsorge at gmail dot com. YES. It’s finally done! 44 Pages!! I’m seriously so happy about how this comic came out. I don’t think I’ve ever worked this hard on a creative project, and I’ve definitely never made a comic this long. I feel like my comics-making improved so much over the course of making this thing, and I’ve already got #3 in the cooker…can’t wait to build on what I’ve learned. I’m seriously so happy about how this comic came out. I don’t think I’ve ever worked this hard on a creative project, and I’ve definitely never made a comic this long.
